When I uploaded the variations of the magazine advert from my target audience it was clear that they prefer the coloured version as it got 22 likes compared to the black and white version which only got 2 likes.
I have screen grabbed the responses below.

Audience feedback on the magazine advert
Once I created the design for the magazine advert in both a colour and black and white pre-set I couldnt decide which one would be best suited in terms of meeting my target audiences expectations so I decided to upload the image onto my facebook page and see what got the most positive response.
Below is the message that was attached to both the magazine adverts.

Magazine Avert: Option One Comparison
Today I was considering the key factors of what makes a good Indie magazine advert and I felt the the whole Indie concept is based on individual style this mad me consider changing the first magazine advert option from a colour present to a black and white pre-set through the use of photo shop. Below are the two options I had to decide from.
Magazine Avert: Option One
Below is the original image before I made changes to it through the use of photo shop. The image was taken in crystal palace park while filming was taking place and I though this picture would correlate to both the ancillary texts as elements of both is within it.
Below is the edited image I created on photo shop. I used a colour wash on the picture to make it alot more vivd and to stand out from the crowd. I also used posterize This is a trait common amongst Indies and I felt that they would be instantly be able to grasp the inital idea. However f the image is used it would challenge the common codes and conventions of the Indie genre as the top of the artists face, is cut off although I have not found any Indie artist that have done this in there magazine advert I though that it would create a sense of mystery
